McDonald's Egg McMuffins and other breakfast items will be available for purchase at the fast food chain when the company rolls out their all-day breakfast program on Oct. 6.
Fans of McDonald’s Egg McMuffins, sausage biscuits and hashbrowns will be happy to hear the fast food chain is rolling out an all-day breakfast menu beginning Oct. 6.
The company made the announcement Sept. 1, according to the Wall Street Journal
. The decision to allow diners nation-wide to order off the breakfast menu past the long-standing 10:30 a.m. cut-off came following a six-month testing period launched under new Chief Executive Steve Easterbrook, who took over on March 1.
The roll-out comes following reports of declining sales at the company for the past three years.
McDonald’s USA president Mike Andres told the newspaper the initiative came as a response to consumer demand and is the biggest strategic move the company has made since launching the McCafe coffee line in 2009.
“This is the consumers’ idea. This is what they want us to do,” Mr. Andres said. “That’s why I think this could be the catalyst for our turnaround.”
