The New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau released the lineup for this summer’s COOLinary New Orleans promotion, in which local businesses offer discounted prix-fixe menus throughout August.

Participating restaurants include Antoine’s (713 St. Louis St., 504-581-4422) and Commander’s Palace (1403 Washington Ave., 504-899-8221), as well as newcomers St. Roch Market (2381 St. Claude Ave., 504-609-3813) and others. Two- and three-course lunch menus fall below $20 and three-course dinner menus are all $39 or less.

New to the program are several eateries that have added brunch to the mix, including Warehouse District gastropub Capdeville (520 Capdeville St., 504-371-5161) and Dickie Brennan’s French Quarter spot, Tableau (616 St. Peter St., 504-934-3463).

Of the roughly 50 restaurants that have signed up to participate, nine have said they’ll offer brunch specials. Organizers are still compiling the list, so more may be added within the coming weeks.

Most participating restaurants haven’t announced their special menus diners. Of those that have, Tujague’s (823 Decatur St., 504-525-8676) is serving a three-course menu for $39, and it includes, among other choices, Gulf shrimp ceviche with pineapple, cucumber and jalapenos; grilled swordfish topped with avocado butter; and lemon pound cake with macerated strawberries and cream.

At Brigtsen’s (723 Dante St., 504-861-7610) in the Riverbend, a $38 dinner menu includes a choice of three courses, including mustard and cornbread-fried Des Allemands catfish with a jalapeno tartar sauce; pan-roasted pork tenderloin with dirty rice and red pepper jelly glaze; and banana bread pudding with pecan-praline sauce.

Many of the featured restaurants also are participating in the We Live to Eat restaurant week program, which features similar dining deals from Sept. 14-20.
