Whole Foods Market Veterans (3420 Veterans Memorial Blvd., 504-888-8225) and Whole Foods Market Arabella Station (5600 Magazine St., 504-899-9119) offer free yoga classes Saturday, June 27 to celebrate the release of a limited-edition bag by RIJI Green.

"RIJI Green, which is committed to ending human trafficking, made the bags packed with outdoor activity essentials," says Kristina Bradford, Whole Foods Market's Louisiana Community and Media Relations Coordinator. "We invite the community to join in the fun."

The yoga class at the Veterans location takes place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and is taught by an East Jefferson YMCA instructor. It is followed by refreshments and a fashion show of clothing by Threads For Thought, Tula, Satva, Blue Planet Eyewear and others. (Full disclosure: I'm modeling an outfit.)

The yoga class at the Arabella Station location starts at 10 a.m. The first 10 participants receive a free Ready for Action bag. A light breakfast follows the class.

Whole Foods Market Broad Street (300 N. Broad St., 504-434-3364) won't offer a yoga class, but will release the bag at 10 a.m. The organic jute and cotton bag costs $12 and contains $50 worth of products, including deodorant aloe vera, sunscreen and green shake mixes.
