Each week this summer, the New Orleans Exercist brings you news and events for active living in the Big Easy. This week, Hot Yoga, Cold Beer returns, NOTC kicks off its Summer Series runs and Dancing Grounds welcomes burlesque artist Bella Blue.

- Hot Yoga, Cold Beer, the popular yoga class/happy hour collaboration from Lululemon (333 Canal St., 504-522-3264; www.lululemon.com) and NOLA Brewing (3001 Tchoupitoulas St.; www.nolabrewing.com), is back for 2015. Bikram Yoga New Orleans (638 Julia St., 504-265-8441; www.bikramyoganeworleans.com) owner Krystall Snemyr teaches the first class at NOLA Brewing Wednesday (June 10). Class starts at 6:30 p.m. — arrive early, as attendance is capped at 300 and it’s likely to fill up. BYO mat, towel and water to work up a sweat and enjoy $3 beers after class. Future dates (each featuring a different teacher) are June 16, 23 and 30.

- Find it difficult to commit to working out without a definite goal, and maybe some cash on the line? Yoga and spin gym Higher Power (514 City Park Ave., 504-302-7497; www.higherpowernola.com) has the summer challenge for you. Called the "Summer 60," the challenge assigns a point value to a long list of free and paid activities, including Higher Power's own classes, Hot Yoga, Cold Beer events, running club meet-ups, races, paddle board yoga classes by H2ohm and more. Each event is worth 1-3 points, and participants are challenged to rack up 60 points between Saturday (June 6) and August 7. Sign up with weaker-willed friends and bet them the $50 registration fee that you’ll beat them. (You’re also welcome to drop in to individual events.)

- Boutique fitness studio Barre3’s new CBD location in the South Market District development is now open at 611 O’Keefe Ave., Suite C3. Visit its Facebook page for updates and its website for class registration. Barre3 is a national chain that teaches a mix of yoga, pilates and ballet-inspired moves; its first New Orleans location is at 5235 Magazine St.

- Arco-yoga instructor Aaron Tremper leads a Standing Acrobatics workshop at City Park on Sunday (June 7). The cost is $40 for a 4-hour course. Check his Instagram account for photos of some of his gravity-defying tricks.

- New Orleans Track Club hosts the first in its Summer Series at the City Park Festival Grounds (1701 Wisner Blvd.) Wednesday (June 10). Five bucks buys you a friendly 2-mile run with beer, water and snacks after (the event is free for NOTC members).

- Local burlesque performer and producer Bella Blue is expanding her teaching schedule. In addition to longstanding classes at Uptown’s Crescent Lotus Dance Studio (3143 Calhoun St., 504-382-5199; www.crescentlotus.com), Blue now teaches a 7:30 p.m. Monday burlesque class at Dancing Grounds (3705 St. Claude Ave., 504-535-5791; www.dancinggrounds.com). Drop-in classes are $12 and students are asked to bring a pair of high heels.

- It’s not too late to register for the Crescent City Connection Run on Saturday (June 6), but you’ll want to do it tonight: registration rises from $30 to $35 the day of the race.
