Baked potato shop 3 Potato 4 moved into the French Market on June 1.
, the Broadmoor baked potato and fry shop, has found a new home inside the French Market (1235 N. Peters St., 504-298-7761).
The restaurant, formally on South Broad Street, relocated to the French Quarter location Monday and now operates a food cart, in space 15, between the Crepe Cart and Michael's produce.
The shop specializes in organic spuds which are baked and served in wedges: diners have a choice of vegan and gluten-free toppings and 18 dipping sauces, including chipotle mayonnaise, curry ketchup and Thai chili. The cart will also sell a three-bean chili and soy-free, gluten-free cheese fries. Homemade Kombucha will soon be available on tap.
Owner Jehan Strouse opened the 1950s sci-fi themed franchise in 2013 in the same strip as Laurel Street Bakery.
"We needed a better location and the market is a place with much better traffic," Strouse said.
3 Potato 4 will be open six days a week, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The shop is closed Wednesdays.
