Baltimore duo Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally will release their fifth album as Beach House on Aug. 28. Depression Cherry (Sub Pop) was recorded at Bogalusa's A Studio in the Country from November 2014 to January 2015, and it's the band's first album following its acclaimed 2012 LP Bloom, which expanded the band's idiosyncratic, melancholic dream pop. For Depression Cherry, the band's live show — now filling large ballrooms and festival stages — influenced songwriting "towards a louder, more aggressive place."

The band's fall tour begins Aug. 18 and includes a show on Oct. 2 at the Civic Theatre (510 O'Keefe Ave.). Tickets are $25 in advance and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, May 29.
