Crescent City Francophiles looking for a place to celebrate France's 226th anniversary of independence can do so at Arnaud's
annual Bastille Day party at 7 p.m. July 14.
(813 Bienville Ave., 504-523-5433) celebration features cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by a menu that pays homage to French cuisine, and wine pairings are included.
Canapes such as the restaurant’s signature souffle potatoes will be offered along with appetizers such as steak tartare and tarte flambee. Dinner options include bronzed salmon with French lentils and haricots verts and roasted lamb marinated with lemon and herbs de Provence served with spinach and potato croquettes.
For dessert, there is gateau Marjolaine
with almond and hazelnut meringue and chocolate buttercream.
