Uglesich’s
, the celebrated Central City locale closed for nearly a decade, will once again find itself inside the four walls of a restaurant, this time in Uptown. According to the former restaurant’s website, Uglesich’s will be popping up inside the Oak Street sushi locale Chiba (8312 Oak St.; 504-826-9119) on May 4, serving a set menu of its signature dishes and traditional New Orleans fare for $85.

On the menu: Fried green tomatoes topped with remoulade, a cup of shrimp-andouille sausage gumbo, shrimp Uggie and barbecue oysters.

All three seatings are sold out. The $85 ticket does not include tax or tip and drinks will be available for purchase at the event.

Husband and wife team Anthony and Gail Uglesich closed their Baronne Street restaurant in 2005 after 81 years of service.
