Fans of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) Institute's Boxcar food truck will have another reason to cheer this weekend with the soft opening of the Press Street Station restaurant.
Located on the corner of Press and Royal Streets, Saturday's limited opening day menu will be served from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The menu features a number of seasonal produce-driven dishes crafted by a team of professional and student chefs led by Chef Jonathan Schmidt.
The full menu arrives on Thu. Feb. 19 — just in time to start a new post-Mardi Gras health regimen with breakfast, lunch and dinner service. Menu items range from coconut pancakes and boudin-stuffed mirliton, to pork belly banh mi and roasted vegetable turnovers.
