Canadian rockers Rush
will perform at the Smoothie King Center May 22. The band enjoyed its most successful years in the late 1970s and early 1980s with albums including Moving Pictures
and the song "Tom Sawyer."
Its lineup of Geddy Lee, Neil Peart and Alex Lifeson has been in place since the mid-1970s, and the band has produced records and toured fairly consistently since that time, except for a hiatus in the late 1990s. The band has never won a Grammy Award, but its members are Officers of the Order of Canada. The band released Clockwork Angels
Tickets for the Rush: R40 Live tour go on sale as early as Jan. 30 in some markets. An on-sale date has not been announced for New Orleans.
