John Mulaney heading to the Civic; Hannibal Buress adds second show


Update, Dec. 11: The Civic has added a second show for Mulaney's performance. Doors for a late show open at 10:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23.

Former Saturday Night Live writer and current star of the Fox sitcom Mulaney, comedian John Mulaney performs at the Civic Theatre on Friday, Jan. 23. Mulaney, known as the co-writer for Bill Hader's popular "Stefon" character, released the acclaimed stand-up album and TV special New in Town in 2012. His titular sitcom — also starring Martin Short and former fellow SNL cast member Nasim Pedrad — premiered last month.

Mulaney performs at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 14.

Hannibal Buress, who is slotted to headline the theater next month, also performs a second show following his 8 p.m. set at 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
