Pop-ups across the city all too often pull a disappearing act, with delicious food here one day and vanished the next. Splendid Pig, on the other hand, is a prime example of pop-up stability. Tonight, the Pig will celebrate 365 days of porky magic at Coulis by giving back to family, friends and fans.
From 6 p.m.-9:30 p.m., each diner will receive a free glass of cava (sparkling wine) to toast a year in business, and each table will be presented with a free slice of birthday cake. If one isn't enough for you, other kinds of "cake" on the menu include crispy potato cakes, Louisiana blue crab cakes and burnt sugar cake.
Beginning next week, the pop-up will shift its stint at Coulis to Thursday nights, and will continue popping up at Carrollton Station each Monday.
