Four members of Tulane University's creative writing faculty will read from their respectives works Monday, Nov. 3 as part of the Ian Gallagher Zelazny Writers Series.

National Book Award winner Jesmyn Ward (Salvage the Bones, Men We Reaped), who began teaching at the university this fall, will join Thomas Beller, Peter Cooley and Zachary Lazar in Tulane's Freeman Auditorian in the Woldenberg Art Center. The reading is free and open to the public.

Cooley is a widely anthologized poet, and Beller and Lazar each  released new books earlier this year. Beller's J.D. Salinger: The Escape Artist earned him a glowing review in the New York Times, while Lazar's novel I Pity the Poor Immigrant has received critical acclaim all over the place

It all begins at 7 p.m, with a reception in the Newcomb Faculty Lounge to follow.
