The Prytania Theatre has announced a film series starting this weekend that pays tribute to the great Robin Williams, who died unexpectedly this week at the age of 63. Four of Williams' most beloved films will screen on the next four Sunday nights at 10 p.m., bumping the planned "Spielberg Sunday Nights" series to midnight on Friday and Saturday nights on the same weekends those films were originally scheduled. Check the Prytania Theatre website to confirm days and showtimes for the Steven Spielberg films.
Everyone has a favorite Robin Williams movie, and ours is The Fisher King. Director Terry Gilliam's sad and beautiful New York story now seems even more poignant in light of the circumstances surrounding Williams' passing. Here's the full schedule:
August 17 — Good Will Hunting
August 24 — The Fisher King
August 31 — Dead Poets Society
Sept. 7 — The Birdcage
