Hitchcock lives on at Prytania Theatre

Few movies hold up to repeat viewings like those of Alfred Hitchcock — especially the ones made during the director's mid-1950s to early 1960s peak. The Prytania Theater has just a begun a twice-weekly 10 a.m. series of films by the Master of Suspense culled mostly from that era. We'll take just about any chance to see prime Hitchcock on the big screen. Tickets are $10. Here's the schedule:

April 27 and 30 — North By Northwest

May 4 and 7 — To Catch a Thief

May 11 and 14 — Rebecca

May 18 and 21 — The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956 version)

May 25 and 28 — Vertigo
