  • Sun Hotel performs as The Ramones on Saturday, Oct. 27.

This weekend's main event is the 2012 Voodoo Experience at City Park — check out our preview coverage in this week's Gambit, and stick with us over the weekend for photos, recaps and reviews.

But off the festival grounds, there are some Halloween cover shows, in which local bands perform as some of your favorite bands and artists.

Habitat (as Nirvana), Sun Hotel (as The Ramones), The Tontons (as... The Tontons) and Caddywhompus (as Patsy effin' Cline) perform at One Eyed Jacks at 10 p.m. Saturday. Download Habitat's self-titled 2012 EP here, and download Sun Hotel's Gifts here.

Punk supergroup We Are 138 performs more than 30 Danzig-era Misfits tracks at a free show at Check Point Charlie at 10 p.m. Saturday.

Tonight at 8 p.m., there's a Halloween cover show at AllWays Lounge. Local punk bands mix up for short sets covering Weezer, Thin Lizzy, Circle Jerks, Dead Boys, Nirvana, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Replacements, Black Flag and others. Admission is $5 and proceeds benefit the New Orleans Community Printshop.

Fugazi-influenced dub-punks and Community Records supergroup All People released the EP Communication. Stream it here.

Also in the Community Records family: singer-songwriter Dominique LeJeune released "Feel Bet-r," which you can stream here. Her EP Wake Up is out next month.

Celebrate Prince's return with this bounce remix of his "Scandalous" — download it here.

Tonight, there's a benefit show for the Gentilly skate park Parisite with Suplecs and Mountain of Wizard. It's the first of six benefit concerts so the DIY builders can buy more concrete for the former Peach Orchard crew. (Read more about the city's skate park situation here.) Grab a few classic Suplecs tracks here.

At Maison at 10 p.m. Saturday, Chicago mashup/hip-hop production duo The Hood Internet joins Mannie Fresh and Nicky Da B for The Baller's Ball. Download Hood Internet's latest instant party mixtape here, and watch the video for "More Fun" below:

And at Siberia (which has a lot to celebrate this weekend) at 10 p.m. Saturday, there's a bounce showcase with Big Freedia, Katey Red, Sissy Nobby and Magnolia Rhome — listen to "Been Around the World" here.

Sub Pop's Poor Moon is at Circle Bar 10 p.m. Saturday. Download the tracks "Birds" and "Holiday" from the band's full-length self-titled debut, a collection of well-crafted, carefully arranged pop.

Following a record swap (in lieu of the weekly Punk Rock Takeover showcase) at The Big Top, the Max Levine Ensemble and Adults take the stage at 7 p.m. Sunday. Nearly all of the Washington, D.C. pop-punk band's expansive, politically verbose and musically charged discography is available for free download — get it here.

Also Sunday: The Lost Bayou Ramblers and Lafayette one-man blues band Brother Dege are at Siberia. Listen to Brother Dege's "Wehyah" here. Stream the title track from the band's latest LP Mammoth Waltz, and watch the Ramblers on a recent Rolling Stone video:
