Johnny White's Sports Bar to charter a party bus and host a second line at their farewell party this Saturday at midnight



Following a successful 25 years in business, Johnny White's Sports Bar (720 Bourbon St., 524-4909;, famous for staying open during Hurricane Katrina, is closing—in true New Orleans fashion, no less.

Shortly after Johnny White's locks its doors at midnight Saturday, a second line band will meet patrons and lead them to Johnny White's sister bar, Mississippi River Bottom (MRBs) (515 St. Philip St., 524-2558;

Upon arrival at MRBs, guests can ride the party bus anytime between midnight and 7 a.m., with the bus making hourly return visits to MRBs to freshen drinks and recruit new riders.
