Listen: Gambit's free music Friday

Multi-instrumentalist pop composer and songstress Theresa Andersson debuted a new song, "Hold On To Me," a track from the upcoming Street Parade (out April 24). Download it here, and grab the track "What Comes Next" here.

Listen to "Revolution," the first track from Locked Down, Dr. John's collaboration with The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach. (Read about it here.) Mac conjures visions of "rebellion, revolution," or maybe a "final solution," with warm, heavy (and sinister) horns and a throwback Farfisa solo. It's a Black Keys-ian, reverbing and tube glowing spin on Dr. John's voodoo R&B, and one of the good doctor's strongest recent outings. The album drops April 3.

Local metal juggernaut Goatwhore returned with Blood for the Master last month — listen to "Collapse in Eternal Worth" here.

Meridian, Miss. hero Big K.R.I.T. (who'll appear at the Buku Music + Art Project this month) drops his anticipated and slightly delayed 4EvaNaDay mixtape-album on March 5. Grab "Boobie Miles" here.

Grimes performs a free concert this afternoon at Tulane University. Download the single "Genesis" from the dream/nightmare electronic pop artist's tremendous 2012 album Visions.
