Madonna to headline New Orleans Arena in October



Great-horned centurion queen Madonna announced details of her upcoming 2012 World Tour, which stops at the New Orleans Arena on Saturday, Oct. 27.

The tour begins Feb. 10 in Tel Aviv and visits more than 40 cities before closing in the U.S. in Miami, then heads to Latin America and Australia into 2013.

Still cooling down from her Super Bowl debut — a halftime performance both reviled by armchair critics and Twitter thought-farts alike (the same people) and praised by people I'd be cool hanging out with — Madonna is set to release her 12th studio album MDNA on March 26. The album (her first from her departure from Warner Bros.) also reunites her with producer Orbit, who helmed 1998's Grammy Award-winning Ray of Light. Last week, she debuted MDNA's first single "Give Me All Your Luvin'", featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., which riffs on French disco and Swedish electronic dance music, with a four-on-the-floor beat and bass-line and cheerleader chants:
