Drake announces tour with show at UNO Arena

"... the human croissant..."
"... Young Garnier Fructis..."
"... the Michael Bublé of rap..."
Big Ghost Chronicles, aka a blog imagining, sort of, how Ghostface Killah would write album reviews. The above were in response to Drake's 2011 album Take Care, what Big Ghost called the "soundtrack to some Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants type shit" and "hold my purse" music. Big Ghost is not a fan of Aubrey Drake Graham, who Ghost dubs "soft."

But Drake, a member of the Cash Money Records/Young Money Entertainment crew as a Lil Wayne and Birdman protege and running partner with Nicki Minaj, and Take Care, are great. "Headlines" and "Marvin's Room" are two of the strongest hip-hop singles of the year. The album comes on the heels of Drake's good-but-not-great 2010 album Thank Me Later, with the massive hits "Over," "Miss Me" and the 2010-quotable "Fancy."

He appeared at both the 2010 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Voodoo Experience, and he returns to New Orleans on February 25 at the UNO Lakefront Arena. He's bringing A$AP Rocky and mixtape monster Kendrick Lamar. Stay tuned for ticket information.
