Gautreau's executive chef Sue Zemanick was asked to "pack her knives and go" on the April 13 episode of Bravo's Top Chef Masters (click here for our interview with her).

In the episode's elimination challenge, the chefs had to cook modernized versions of 1960s dishes for a cocktail party hosted by Mad Men bombshell Christina Hendricks and her actor husband Geoffrey Arend. Zemanick cooked an interpretation of duck a l'orange for the challenge, but she wasn't able to plate some of the dish components in time. There's a heartbreaking scene of her tearfully telling Hendricks and crew that her plates were incomplete — could you imagine having to say that to Joan Holloway?

The Bravo website has her "exit interview," on which Zemanick says "I'm happy to go home. I don't know if I could have done this for 21 days. This is the hardest thing I've ever done." She continues, "I'm a competitive person by nature, but not in this kind of setting where it's televised and there's money at stake for charities."

New Orleans native John Currence is still in the competition.
