You wanted more info about apps? We got more info about apps:

Well, it is available for Android — and the WWL tech people heard your cries... they'll be adding the extra parade routes you wanted. So tell them thanks.
• WDSU-TV saw that blog and wanted in on the action, telling us their own Mardi Gras parade app will be available soon, with GPS tracking of every parade (iPhone only). Look for the announcement here.
• The people behind Mardi Gras Party Guide (sponsored by PJ's Coffee) have their own free app. They've got maps, club listings, Facebook and Twitter connectivity and a chance to win free PJ's King Cake Blend coffee during the season. It's a little different than the TV station apps, allowing you to submit parade photos to share on the spot. This app is available for iPhone and Android.
• And our own web department has been busy on some fronts both minor and major (look for a major tech announcement in the next week or two). Meanwhile, here's a minor improvement, but it's nice, especially if you're an anal-retentive iPhone type: the Gambit mobile site now has its own icon. Just bookmark Gambit on your phone (m.bestofneworleans.com) and you'll get the groovy green G on your homepage. Here's how you do it:
