After a weekend of rain and muck, Voodoo finished with a beautiful day on Sunday and large crowds. The Pogues had posted a missing person announcement on the band Web site as of at least early Sunday morning. Apparently, a binging member was located before the set. But that's probably par for the course.

The Flaming Lips again opened with Wayne Coyne rolling out into the audience in a bubble. He did the same trick at Voodoo 2007. This year's set featured some of the same songs from the Yoshimi album. And the same colorful video, a naked woman running around the stage, balloons, streamers, etc., -- the whole Lips cosmic hippie trip. But the ever socially conscious Coyne was slightly less preachy this time around.
Shooter Jennnings turned in a solid set, and whatever his band collectively lacks in height, in makes up in long hair.
