The New Orleans Hornets everyday heroes have been hanging in there after their recent four game loosing streak. The Hornets tied a franchise record with 15 three-pointers, and Peja Stojakovic scored 28 points in their 92-101 victory over the Toronto Raptors.
Following the win over Toronto the short-handed Hornets got it done against the Minnesota Timberwolves despite starters Chris Paul and Tyson Chandler being injured and David West getting ejected in the first half. The Hornets' reserves shined in the win. Two guard Rasual Butler led the way with 23 points and eight rebounds. Even New Zealand native Sean Marks scored a career-high 18 points as the Hornets defeated the Timberwolves 101-97.
Minnesota, center Al Jefferson was injured in the loss, leaving a 23 point 11 rebound void in The Timberwolves' line-up. As for the Hornets its only going to get tougher. Four of their next six games are against Boston, Orlando, Los Angeles, and Utah. New Orleans is Hoping that West won't be suspended for his flagrant-2 foul because at this juncture they cannot afford another loss-on their roster or their record.
