As the weather is expected to worsen in the next couple of days.. and most local New Orleanians are hoping a roof leak doesn't expand, their pet is able to "hold it", or that their street which is notorious for flooding doesn't rise with water (I have never understood the "flash flooding term" used by meteorologist- it seems to me, that we have only had one recent notorious flash flooding incident, and normally the water here just seems to rise as the pumps get overwhelmed and sewers are clogged)
I currently, like many others am daydreaming that I was home under the covers, cuddling with my furry poodle, watching daytime tv or aimlessly surfing the internet, (click here for instant warm fuzzy feeling), while drinking the final glass of the yummy bottle of Tempranillo I purchased from the Wine Sellar this weekend.
All wine and pet lovers, who are having the same daydream: look forward to the weather clearing up by Thursday and give you and your "friendly leashed" pet a treat by attending the TOASTS & TAILS wine tasting event at Canine Culture, 8110 Hampson Street in the Riverbend.
A $5 donation to the LA-SPCA gets you in to this event, where you can taste wine, sample hors d'oeuvres with your pooch while listening to local band "Some Like it Hot". See last months event photos here.
(This event is put on by the Dog Lovers Wine Club)
