The Yes Men


All the young radicals, who thought that smashing the windows out of Starbucks in Seattle would bring down the World Trade Organization (WTO), need to cut their hair and buy suits. And find gainful fake employment. The Yes Men consider it the opposite of identity theft. They call it "identity correction" in an ongoing campaign of pranks in which they court media coverage as self-proclaimed spokesmen for major corporations. Call them self-employed or unemployed, the duo of Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno have passed themselves off as representatives of the WTO, Dow Chemical and Halliburton just to name a few, and they've made some outrageous announcements that news outlets have passed on without scrutiny. Basically, all it takes is a suit and a business card. And in Michael Moore fashion, they have filmed themselves in action for everyone else's enjoyment. They'll be on hand to share clips of their exploits, scenes from their self-titled movie, The Yes Men, and to offer advice on how you too can represent the largest corporations in the world and impress your friends.
