"It's a bigger store with almost twice the space, but the concept is the same," Michelet says of her second boutique. "Our style is for the woman who wants to have something that everybody else doesn't have."
Michelet believes having "a red carpet moment" doesn't have to be limited to formal occasions. The boutique offers everything from jeans and T-shirts to cocktail dresses and ball gowns with lots in between. If a woman needs or wants something in her wardrobe, Michelet does her best to have the item in her store.
This time of year, a large inventory of pre-fall merchandise (lightweight sweater dresses, long sleeve T-shirt dresses and leggings) gives way to an influx of cool-weather ready-to-wear, an abundant stock of special-occasion dresses geared toward the social season and the holidays and lots of accessories, including shoes, belts, bags and jewelry.
"We carry all the necessary accessories to complete the look," Michelet says. "We have foundations and in-house alterations. We provide the service right here in the store; you don't have to go any further. Sometimes, they can be done the same day. We're a great place to shop for gift items as well."
Michelet describes her inventory as fashion-forward, but when combing the New York, Los Angeles and international markets, she looks for pieces that will outlive a transient trend and last for more than one season.
Sizes range from 00 to 54, and the designs cover the needs and tastes of women in their teens to their 60s.
