Langford Market (522-9200) is now open on the second level at the Shops at Canal Place (333 Canal St.). You'll find contemporary apparel and accessories, mid-century mod clocks, Italian blown-glass bowls, vintage furniture restored with modern fabrics and more.

A women's boutique specializing in what it calls "New York style mixed with Southern hospitality," Ruby (899-4940) will host a grand opening party at its new location at 3932 Magazine St. on Friday, Oct. 19, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The evening will feature gifts and hors d'oeuvres as well as entertainment by Roger Lewis of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. A percentage of all opening-day sales will be donated to the Music Relief Fund of New Orleans.

Regular shoppers at Whole Foods Market Arabella Station (5600 Magazine St.) will be pleased to know that they have more time to get what they need. The store has expanded its hours; it now opens one hour earlier at 8 a.m. daily. In addition, a Concierge Service Team now provides personal shopping and delivery to your home or office 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The service costs 15 percent of your bill, with a minimum $10 fee.
