Heart Implant Study

comment
The Louisiana Heart Center completed one of its first implants of the AngelMed Guardian cardiac monitor and alert system, which helps patients get to the emergency room more quickly during a heart attack's early stages by tracking major changes in the heart's electrical signals and notifying patients they should seek medical attention. The monitor is part of an ALERTS Pivotal study, which investigates the safety and effectiveness of the new system. The Louisiana Heart Center is one of the first medical facilities to take part in the AngelMed Guardian system. Patients interested in participating in the ALERTS study can contact Brandy Ocman at the Louisiana Heart Center at (985)871-4155, ext. 304. — Ghawaly
