comment
In a ceremony held last Tuesday, May 21, at the Windsor Court Hotel, NO/AIDS Task Force presented its Prometheus Award "Torch of Truth" to Margo DuBos, publisher of Gambit Weekly. The award, which includes a glass statue designed by sculptor Maurice Alvarado, honors individuals and companies who demonstrate "leadership, vision and love of mankind," according to NO/AIDS. Other 2002 Prometheus Award recipients include Dr. Michael Kaiser (the Torch of Health, for health care), Jack Sullivan (the Torch of Justice, for legal services), Melinda Shelton (the Torch of Liberty, for advocacy), Paris Winn (the Torch of Service, for volunteerism), and the nonprofit group Brotherhood, Inc. (the Torch of Knowledge, for education). For more information about NO/AIDS, call 821-2040.

CORRECTIONS: In "Nuclear Fallout" (May 21), we misstated the earnings of Entergy. In fact, Entergy Nuclear's fourth-quarter earnings grew from $19 million to $29 million between 2000 and 2001. Entergy is a $9 billion company. Gambit Weekly regrets the errors.
