Earth to NOLA Film Festival

comment
If mankind treats the environment as well as the Army Corps of Engineers builds levees, or the way in which coastal Louisiana has been made convenient for shipping, you might have cause for concern. Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth probes mankind's effect on nature and what we can expect in return. The film headlines the Earth to NOLA Film Festival at Tulane this weekend. Other thought-provoking films include Mardi Gras: Made in China, Blue Vinyl, Nature: Katrina Animal Rescue and Raising Appalachia. An Inconvenient Truth runs Saturday (8. p.m.) in McAlister Auditorium. Other film screenings are held in Stone Auditorium in the Woldenberg Arts Center. Tickets for An Inconvenient Truth $3 general admission, $2 students, all other screenings free. -- Will Coviello
