The Pelicans defeated the Houston Rockets 105-100 last night at the Smoothie King Center in their last game of the season. Tyreke Evans led the team with a double-double, 25 points and 10 assists. Austin Rivers chipped in 18 points and 8 assists by playing almost the entire game - in 44 minutes of play.

The Pelicans finished the 2013-14 season (34-48). The 34 wins is a seven game improvement over last season when the Hornets went (27-55). That seven game improvement comes after the team had several key players miss a lot of time over the year. Here's who they are and the number of games they missed.

Ryan Anderson - 60 games (herniated disc)
Anthony Davis - 15 games (Hand, back spasms)
Tyreke Evans - 10 games (ankle sprain)
Eric Gordon - 17 games (right hip, knee tendinitis)
Jrue Holiday - 46 games (stress fracture)
