The New Orleans Fringe Festival posted its schedule of shows. The festival includes 77 shows, some of them curated at official Fringe venues, and others selected for "Bring Your Own Venue" presentations. The lineup includes the usual unusual spectrum of alternative theater, dance, comedy, puppetry and genre mashups. (Emma's Parlor, a puppet theater piece based on historian Howard Zinn's play about Emma Goldman, pictured). The festival runs Nov. 20-24, and besides hour-long shows, there are parades, a Yard Art Tour, music and events at the Fringe "Free-For-All" area behind Mardi Gras Zone in Architects Alley. The Free-For-All area includes food and beer vendors, preview vignettes from upcoming shows and more. Family Fringe is scheduled for the yard at the Marigny Opera House from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There will be music, dance workshops, story telling and arts and crafts.
