New Orleans' own Lionel Ferbos, the trumpet-playing man from out the 7th Ward way, hopes to celebrate his 102nd birthday with piles of birthday cards and a big turnout for his gig at The National WWII Museum's Sunday Swing. Ferbos is the world's eldest working jazz musician and the winner of the 2003 Big Easy Music Heritage Award.

Birthday cards should be addressed as follows:

Lionel Ferbos Sr.
5543 Press Drive
New Orleans, LA 70126

Ferbos performs with his Louisiana Shakers — Jamie Wight, Otis Bazoon, Wendell Eugene, Seva Vinet, Peter Badie and Ernie Elly — from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at The National WWII Museum's free, family-friendly Sunday Swing series. The event is free.

Lionel Ferbos checks out his set-list prior to performing at the 2013 Jazz Fest.
