Benh Zeitlin, director of the internationally acclaimed New Orleans film Beasts of the Southern Wild, will conduct question-and-answer sessions with local audiences after two of this weekend's screenings of the movie. Zeitlin will take the stage after the 8 p.m. screening tonight, Friday, July 6, at the Prytania Theatre in New Orleans, and again tomorrow, Saturday, July 7, after the 7:25 p.m. screening at the Elmwood Palace Theater in Harahan. Dwight Henry, Beasts' newly minted star and proprietor of the Seventh Ward's Buttermilk Drop Bakery, is tentatively scheduled to appear with Zeitlin at the Elmwood screening.
