An online job satisfaction survey for officers and civilian employees of the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), originally slated to close on June 17, has been extended to June 24, Gambit learned today after contacting the Police Association of New Orleans (PANO).
PANO announced the survey on June 4 and has been encouraging members and non-members to participate.
Though PANO has been involved in informing personnel of its existence, the survey was designed and is being conducted independently by Tulane University criminologist Dr. Peter Scharf. It is accessible to NOPD personnel only. Scharf will release the results and an analysis after the June 24 deadline.
