The Fest's five films include the irresistible Chico and Rita (read our review here); La Yuma, the first full-length feature film from Nicaragua in 20 years; and Asalto al Cine, a new movie about Mexcian youth culture that made a splash at Sundance last year.
The Fest is present by The New Orleans Film Society and the University of New Orleans Department of Film, Theatre and Communication Arts. Tickets are $3 for Society members, $6 general admission, and free for UNO students and faculty with valid IDs. The full schedule, complete with links to trailers, can be found here.
