DISCLAIMER: In no way are we trying to invade anyone’s privacy, but it’s fun to hear about the great places celebrities are visiting while they’re hanging out in New Orleans. We’re appreciative of the people who are way more famous than we’ll ever be for visiting our city and state, spending their money, and sometimes even contributing to our rebuilding and recovery efforts.

That being said….

SPOTTED:

Leonardo DiCaprio was seen shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue in Canal Place last week, and Quentin Tarantino enjoyed dinner at Ancora on Freret Street Saturday night. DiCaprio and Tarantino are both in town shooting scenes for the film Django Unchained, about a former slave who goes to rescue his wife from the Mississippi plantation where she is confined. The movie also stars Jamie Foxx in the title role, as well as Sacha Baron Cohen, Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Harrison Ford also spent some time in Canal Place yesterday, grabbing coffee at Starbucks. Ford is in New Orleans filming Ender’s Game, a sci-fi flick co-starring Viola Davis and Ben Kingsley. You may have also seen Ford hanging out around Audubon Park recently.

Our favorite semi-local girl, Sandra Bullock partook in Super Sunday this weekend with the Mardi Gras Indians. Since Katrina, Bullock has made several super-generous contributions to Warren Easton Charter High School on Canal Street, a school that reached a milestone in 2007 when 100 percent of its senior class graduated. Not only does Bullock have ties to New Orleans now because of Warren Easton, but also because it’s the birthplace of her baby boy Louis, whom she adopted in 2010.

Lastly, check out Samuel L. Jackson tonight at the New Orleans Hornets game. Jackson will be introducing the players as they hop on the court to take on the Los Angeles Clippers.

More fun next week!
