Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks celebrate The Beach Boys' 50th anniversary with a 50-date international tour — and a headline spot at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. ("Check here for the 2012 lineup.)
"This anniversary is special to me because I miss the boys and it will be a thrill for me to make a new record and be on stage with them again," Wilson said in a band statement. No formal dates have been announced, and Jazz Fest
hasn't added the band to its full 2012 roster yet just added the band to its opening weekend on Friday, April 27.
Below is video of the band re-recording "Do It Again" for a still-untitled 2012 studio album, the first to feature the full band (and surviving members) since at least 1996 (depending who's counting). In November, the band also released the anticipated, long-in-the-vault Smile sessions, first recorded in 1966 and 1967.
