Meridian, Miss. rapper Big K.R.I.T. released his new album Return of 4eva this month, which you can download for free on his website. K.R.I.T, at 24, is the likely successor to the throne as a southern hip-hop king, and rightfully so. Meet the new dude (lyrics NSFW):

Local synth-soaked, dark-pop trio Kindest Lines (think stripped down New Order with dreamy female vocals) performs at Hey! Cafe tonight at 7 p.m. Grab Lines' single "Baltimore" here. The band's debut album Covered in Dust (on Wierd Records) premieres June 15. Also performing: local punk trio The Rooks, whose EP is available for free via Community Records.
