Nothing Says Good Cause like Drinking Tequila on a Train.

OK, maybe there are a few other things that would make "good cause" come to mind other than getting blitzed on Tequila on a train, but this one is definitely the coolest. The St. Bernard Project, which has been traveling across the country to raise money to help with mental health services for out-of-work fisherman will be making a stop at the New Orleans Amtrak Station starting tomorrow night. Here's a video of the restored 1927 Patrón Tequila Epicurean Express in action in D.C.:

If anything, that first drink in the video looks like it could give you a buzz (both alcohol and sugar related). Here are more details per the press release:

The Patrón Tequila Epicurean Express, a beautifully restored 1927 rail car, is rolling into town tomorrow and we want you to be on it! Our goal is to raise $100,000 to expand our mental health services for fishermen. The train has made three stops so far in Chicago, DC and Philadelphia and raised nearly $50,000. We're on a roll but we need your support to keep the train chugging along.

Join us on Thursday, June 17 for gourmet cuisine prepared by Chef Justin Devillier of La Petite Grocery and Chef Aaron Burgau of Patois as well as complimentary tasty Patrón Tequila cocktails conjured up by Daniel Victory of the Ritz-Carlton and Andrew Emery of Victory Bar, opening soon.

On Saturday, June 19, we invite you to join us for a five-course, sit-down dinner prepared by Chef Tory McPhail of Commander's Palace, Chef Chris Lusk of Cafe Adelaide and Chef Nathan Gresham of Galatoire's Baton Rouge, with Patrón Tequila cocktail pairings by Steven Wilshire of Glazer's Distributors and Bar Tonique.

All the proceeds from this event will go toward St. Bernard Project's efforts to assist fishermen and other residents impacted by the oil spill with mental health and job placement services. Thank you for supporting St. Bernard Project, and we hope you can come out and have a fun time doing it!
