Arriving around town today or early tomorrow: the new issue of Gambit, with a cover story on the phenomenon of "localwashing" -- the latest marketing maneuver from national and multinational companies as they try to position themselves as local concerns. (Some of it's pretty funny.)
Also: Clancy DuBos handicaps the new metrics in the mayor's race, now that Mitch Landrieu has decided not to run, and Alejandro de los Rios looks at the new documentary Playing for Change, which features French Quarter street musician Grandpa Elliott.
Inside this week's paper is a new issue of our monthly home/fashion magazine, CUE, and if you're up tomorrow, editor Kara Nelson will be on the WWL Morning News to discuss it with Laura Buchtel.
Have a swell rest-of-the-weekend.
