Just in case you can't hear so well, that collective shouting coming from the nola blogosphere is against District Attorney Eddie Jordan, most often calling for him to resign. Responding to the news that Jordan's discriminatory firing of white employees could cost the city $3.7 million, one blogger posted a letter to his councilmember Stacy Head proposing the city pay the tab only on the condition that
Jordan resigns (also suggested by others). Another blogger proposed petitioning the Southern Poverty Law Center to pay the $3.7 million, also on the condition that Jordan go. While another blogger proposed an entirely different settlement of the suit, saying the fired attorneys should get free saints season tickets, lifetime passes on the streetcar, and royal monarch status in this years Mardi Gras among other perks while Jordan would be relieved of his duties as DA and denied other city pleasures. The latest news on Jordan is not likely to silence the critics.
Elsewhere, the Left and the Right continued their tussle over the meaning of the election of Bobby Jindal. blogofneworleans' David Winkler-Schmit reported on how Jindal was being accepted in different parts of the Indian-American community.
