Produced in southeastern Spain from a blend of Monastrell, Garnacha, Tintorera and small amounts of other grapes, this wine was aged eight months in new French oak barrels. The highly extracted young wine should be decanted for at least an hour before serving to aerate and allow the tannins to soften. You will be rewarded with a palate of blackberries, black currants, spice, some toasty oak and a gamey, briery character. It will improve with cellaring.
